Not sure it's branded, I believe it's locally made. But I can tell you it's as good as Umpqua or Tillamook
No, they might have a microwaveable something in their freezer stuff but I wouldn't count on it. They do ice cream, fudge, saltwater taffy, and a millions snacks but nothing fresh really.
Yes, black cherry, pralines and cream and butter pecan
If I could give negative stars I would. Decided to visit for an ice cream with my daughter and parents just now. I stood waiting for service at the counter while the employees did their absolute best to ignore me for a good 5 minutes. I followed one of the employees up and down the counter hoping he would take my order at one point with no luck. Unfortunately I made the mistake of turning around to ask my daughter a question and the inept sloth employee took that moment to begin helping a huge hoard of children and parents that walked up behind me. I was livid. Horrible horrible customer service at this place. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.
Two years of great experience with Scoopers.Today.Size of milkshake changed, but same price.Milkshake watery.Hair on sorbet.Staff SO rude.SO disappointed ☹️
Always busy and employees are never happy or helpful. Go to the pit stop by the go carts if you want better service!
Always yummy ice cream and friendly staff. Whenever my hubby and i come to Long Beach for our property we always stop here!
This is not a market. This is a big overpriced gas station type convenience store with ice cream and souvenirs. It was $4.99 for a single serve frozen Mac and cheese. Like $4 for a pack of hot dog buns. It was dark and gloomy and the customer service was laughable. I won't be back.
A little disappointing as far as the banana split we had, good flavor and helping, but it was just a little off.. service was good
Biggest most tastiest treat market I've experienced on the west coast.
This place was packed when we went - this was a while ago, but we got some mexican and some ice cream and were very happy. The store also has a fun selection of candies.
What can I say other than I love this place. Large portions and reasonable prices for the quality of the ice cream and size of the portions. Huge scoops. 64 flavors from local to standards to creative entries. They also have amazing milkshakes, Sundays, a choice of cones from sugar, cake, to homemade waffle cones. Up front they have candy, taffy, Carmel corn, and fudge. Youlus all sorts of unique and hard to find candy. Heck they have frozen food and beer so you can do all your weekend shopping there. Well worth the visit.
Want to wait over an hour for ice cream that I already melting this is the place! Rude customer service and they are slow also employees are degrading other employees so loud customers could hear it. I paid 13 dollars for nothing besides ice cream that was basically melted, growing up we would come in here as a treat and it was excellent now it’s no good. I’ll give my business elsewhere.
I come here all the time and usually have a great experience. I cane in today at 3:35 pm the girl working was short (attitude) and unfriendly. Then she made my shake wrong and refused to remake it. Very disappointed in my experience today.
Awesome selection of ice cream, everything our family tried was fantastic. It is a bit spendy, but the portions are huge. They also have a good sized selection of candies and fudge, as well as gifts- though some areas of the store looked like it was either closed off or being redone. There's a convenience store as well. Worth noting: the ice cream line is pretty long usually, and takes a while to get through. It took our family 40 minutes, plus side: we all knew what we wanted by the time ordering came around (you pay first). There are lines on the floor for social distancing, but some customers didn't care to observe them.
Worth the wait!
Steel yourselves for the largest assortment of hard-pack iced cream flavors that you may ever see under one roof! They charge a fair price, but the system that they employ and crowd control near the iced cream freezers demerits Scoopers the full five stars, and another star was taken off for employees not wearing gloves while serving.
Don't buy the milkshakes, way to much milk added. Purchased 3 shakes and they were all the same. Could have bought 9 gallons of milk because that's what it tasted like. Only getting 2 stars because my son liked the waffle cone and ice cream he had.
Very Good ice cream but a very very long wait due to employees being as slow as possible
I will never go back. The people working were coughing, not wearing gloves and had their masks off. We asked politely for them to put on a mask on while serving us and if possible wear gloves. They were incredibly insulted and kicked us out! They told us they will not put on gloves and said if you don't like it, leave the building. We are locals and had five people with us and were perfectly ready to spend upward of $50- all we asked is that with a pandemic they would wear a the mask and gloves they instead had hanging off their bodies when handling ice cream. Would not recommend to anyone trying to stay healthy at this time.
This place is great except when the hordes invade in the summertime. They have a lot of flavors of ice cream, a well stocked convenience store, and they have Mexican food! Their grilled steak burrito is delicious
Currently, I am number 86 in line for ice cream service with two orders before our party, three employees and zero services occuring. In a gobsmackingly bizarre order setup, I paid an exceptionally disinterested young woman $15 to be told that she doesn't need to know what kind of ice cream we want, only the sizes we'll ultimately get. It's approaching a hostile level of customer antiservice.Good ice cream overall in a lovely store, yes: but as close to a walk off as I've ever been.
We went for ice cream when it was not busy. I ordered 1 scoop on a cake cone. The scoop was huge. Next time I will order a junior scoop. Lol. It would be nice if they made small waffle cones. We sat in the store and ate as it was windy out. Even washed our hands in the sink nearby. No problems.
It's Tillamook ice cream (mostly) so that is a plus, but there are no public restrooms for a pretty big store, and things are very overpriced. Better options elsewhere.
Unbelievably delicious salted caramel hot fudge sundae cone bowl! YUMMY, YUMMY YUMMY! Cute store also with tons of salt water taffy choices. I'm going back for that next!
Delicious
This was a fun stop for the family with 64 flavors available.
They are not safe. If you are at all concerned about COVID-19 do NOT go to scoopers. I waited with children in a very long line. Got to the front and watched as the person handling transactions wearing one glove touched money, then turned around pulled her mask down and wiped her nose, then wiped the counter, then grabbed a stack of cones (with her snot hand) all in under a minute with no washing and no glove change in between.
Good ice cream. Not cheap. Staff was a little hit and miss. Good spot to cool off on a hot day.
Was extremely rude to people not knowing how to order and rushed us with attitude
I love licorice ice cream but what they served was tasteless. Very disappointing coming from so far away and paying top dollar for what was sugary flavored nothing.
I've been here a few times but the last time I was here. I just got a cup of coffee n the young lady workin the front was very kind & sweet
Better than Salt and Straw! Multiple great flavors to choose from and the texture is so creamy. They were serving 700+ people a day this last weekend and were on top of it! Had a breif mixup and the manager was super kind and helpful. thank you Scoopers crew!
Best ice cream ever I have. Little overpriced. But just remember, a lot of people come here for mini vacation on weekend. No complained for me. Marionberry Pie ice cream is damn delicious!
They have 64 flavor's of ice cream their milkshakes are amazing!
The worst customer service I have ever experienced so bad that we walked out! We walked into an old lady with shorter grey hair screaming at us that we need to shut the door, how are we supposed to know that your dirty old door doesn't shut on its own maybe if you can learn customer service and ask nicely the place wouldn’t be so empty. Then as we walked up to get ice cream she rudely told us that her till was closed and went on to yell at a younger employee that accidentally typed something in wrong while she was closing the till. After that we stood at the ice cream counter while she lectured the girl so long that we finally just walked out I hope that girl quits and finds a job that isn’t so miserable I feel so bad for her. We will never go back to this place and make sure everyone we know won’t, we hope they can figure out customer service soon because we used to love that place and we don’t want to see it close.
Nice little old fashion candy store with a huge selection of fudges, truffles, taffies and ice cream mixed in with a local market. The ice cream line was long but we grabbed some food and ate while one of us waited in line. 60 or so flavors with large scoops was worth waiting for on a hot day. Plan some time ahead to visit an understand you may not be the only one who thought of something sweet
Long lines and slow service. Great selection of ice cream. Also has a convience store in it and a hinge selection of salt water taffy and refreshing beverages.
Wide variety of items like fudge, salt water taffy, beverages, ice cream, candy, nick knacks, and souvenirs. We love the ice cream and you get large portions of it. There have been times we've visited where there was a very long line for ice cream and then others when there wasn't. You pay for ice cream at one counter, everything else at another. Some inside and outside seating available. There is also a convenience store. Like most places in this town, no public restrooms.
Always fun and worth the wait during busy summer. We've been getting our ice cream here for 40 yrs.
Love the ice cream and wide selection of flavors. Great place my son for a treat
The mean lady serving ice cream has zero customer service skills. We didn't know you had to pay before you ordered and we waited 20 minutes. When we told her this she just pointed to the back of the line we already stood in. They had no employees at the register we were supposed to order from. We will never be back as they are overpriced and this experience was horrible. Luckily there are much better places in Long Beach.
I walked into Scoopers with two of my friends hoping to get some exquisite beach ice cream. What we walked into was a cesspool of Covid. The shake I ordered was pretty mediocre. There was nothing super special about the taste. My friend’s sorbet was also subpar. Unfortunately, the workers were not wearing gloves while serving the ice cream. Most people in line were also not respecting the 6 foot protocol. We were pretty disgusted at the amount of kids running around and touching everything along with ginormous groups of adults not wearing their masks correctly. We felt that this place was not enacting appropriate Covid measures that Washington has in place.
This is a must stop. Some reviewers have complained about the scoop size being too big but that’s one of the many things that make this a great place. Are you crazy!? Share it if it’s too much. I feel like I’m getting my money’s worth even when we can’t finish it. Been going here since I was just a kid and won’t stop. Love this place!
Big ass cones! This is THE place to stop for ice cream. There is a seemingly endless collection of ice cream. They have a fast and efficient system as well. You pay first then go down and look for your flavor while waiting to be served. This way seems to work well since you don't have to fumble for money while holding you cone. There are several cone and bowl options. I was debating over one or two scoops. I'm glad I chose only one, it was huge! There are also lots of other food and grocery items in here. They have a big selection of beer as well if you're staying in town or near the beach and need to restock. There is a chocolate and candy counter as well with all sorts of fancy and delicious treats!
This is a great place to get ice cream while at the beach. They have over 64 flavors, including my favorite Black Licorice. Yes it is jet black. They are on the expensive side and a little busy on the weekends.First timers: you need to decide how much ice cream you want first. You then decide on the flavor.
The ice cream is some of the best around in the Northwest, especially for a local business. Been here many times; the staff typically lacks customer service, can be downright rude and there are long waits (even before COVID). You do pay before you choose your flavors. Today we had a really sweet server. It's a better deal if you order the waffle cone (single scoop) compared to the two scoop bowl--oh well. The ice cream is the reason we keep coming back!
they have GREAT flavors n love it. but its too big portion n expensive for the icecream. my husband had to ask if they have the scooper for KIDS SIZE(appropriate size) n make it way smaller for my kid with small cone.
The ice cream is delicious! The waffle bowls were stale, such a disappointment. Outdoor tables covered with sticky, melted ice cream. Note to staff: service with a smile goes a long way. I know the line is long (that's $ in your pocket - tips come from customers). I am sure you are tired of scooping. At the end of the day, you have a job because there are people standing in line to give you their hard earned money. Make us feel good about that.
Ice cream was good but lady serving me used her bare hands to touch my waffle bowl and when I asked her for one she hadn't touched with her bare hands she put it back in the case and grabbed another one with her bare hands. I asked her again and she goes "well i just washed my hands" with a rude look. Not asking for amazing service just use gloved or tongs or something.Ice cream was good and portions were huge!
The positive: oodles of ice cream flavors, many of which are fantastic (love the chocolate peanut butter!). The negatives: super slow service, very long lines due to the aforementioned slow service (like a 45+ min wait for a scoop of ice cream), and somewhat rude employees. I've been coming here for years and it seems like the customer service end of it is on a serious decline the past few years.
Convoluted ordering system lead to an incredible line and a long wait.
